Kuala Lumpur Signature Dinner

Client

mubadala

Brief

To design and execute an event plan in Kuala Lumpur where Mubadala can welcome its guests, showcase the Mubadala - Ferrari partnership and forge better relations with its key partners and potential partners in each particular territory.

What we did

We located a modern intimate restaurant venue in the city, aptly called "Delicious". A blank canvas was used to showcase the Mubadala business portfolio, as the theme of the event was minimalism. The reception area was tranquil and designed to offer a welcoming space for the guests to relax. Upon arrival guests were given envelopes, which upon opening released beautiful butterflies.

The guests were then invited upstairs to a modern space that been designed in white and silver to allow the lighting effects to have maximum impact. SIAN ensured that the menu was designed to fuse the best in Asian and Arabic cuisine. Comedy pianist Rainer Hersch entertained the guests with his take on the comedy of classical music with a specially written script that fused formula one noises with classical scales.

Brief

To organize Nestle’s Annual Family Day where employees and their families could come together for a day of fun.

What we did

The concept created for the day was the Magical World of Nestle and guests could enter this world through the entrance at Platform Nine and Three Quarters. Once inside, guests could explore the four magical areas created ? Harry Potter, the magical world of Narnia, Jack & the beanstalk and Alice in Wonderland.

The four different magical areas were activated with characters and large fabrications pertaining to that theme. Each themed area also had themed games for children to participate in.

We also created a separate area for adults by organizing fair-ground style games and activities. In the evening, a band entertained the adults and encouraged them to dance, whilst children watched movies on bean bags in the children’s’ area.

mubadala

Brief

To design and execute an event plan in Singapore where Mubadala can welcome its guests, showcase the Mubadala - Ferrari partnership and forge better relations with its key partners and potential partners in each particular territory.

What we did

The Singapore event design had to impress and inspire the guests into the vision and strength of Mubadala. The venue was crucial and the perfect location was found. "The divine", a Victorian deco-gothic fusion building provided a breath taking venue for the evening.

The event interior design was minimal to not distract from the buildings’ flamboyant architecture and design. A Ferrari was placed on a rotating platform in the centre of the dining space to showcase the partnership. A fusion show was written for the occasion. Sian commissioned and directed an Arabic operatic piece for Mubadala that was performed by Keedie - an English opera singer. This was the finale to a sand show introduction and solo performances by the Celloman and Craig Owen. An Arabic calligrapher was flown in from Abu Dhabi to write the guests name in Arabic and present them with a gift set from the UAE.

hyundai

Brief

To orchestrate and manage an event to launch the new Hyundai Genesis luxury car. The event brief was to create an elegant environment to portray Hyundai’s foray into the luxury car market.

The cocktail reception area was elegant and modern where guests could mingle. Guests were encouraged to have their pictures taken with beautiful hostesses against a Hyundai branded photo backdrop.

A beautiful modern dancer representing the strength and fluidity of the new Genesis started the entertainment, followed by a video of the car. The video ended with the turning on of headlines and the sound of an engine starting as the screen lifted and the new Hyundai Genesis drove out onto the stage.

In addition to the 3 cars on the stage, another two cars were unveiled at the back of the ballroom to enable guests to experience the cars for themselves. During dinner, Ovidio De Ferrari and his orchestra entertained the guests with witty banter and modern classical music.
