Where we began
SIAN Dubai was established in 1978 when Simon McDonald founded UM Promotions in the UK to provide corporate events for the
booming oil field sector. Client and public demand resulted in UM Events expanding into the field of live events, theatrical
productions, Nation wide variety tours, golf and sporting event organization, conference organization and a variety of related
services. SIAN Dubai was launched in 1996 and has continued to fully expand into the corporate event market here in the
Middle East and Internationally.
SIAN rebranded to SIAN Events in September 2009 to broaden its appeal locally and internationally and has been growing from
strength to strength since.
